Otter

This image illustrated nicely a lot of the things I look for in an image:
Colour
Contrast
Texture
Composition

For me, this image wouldn’t be half a good if the otter wasn’t scratching, it’s fur was smooth and sleek and it was sat on a muddy bank/dead leaves (i.e. brown background) or even if there weren’t buttercups in the grass.

Catkins

I try to view things in a different way. Photography for me has 3 purposes – to capture the moment; to aid memory; to be art. This falls into the latter catagory I think.
